Infrared Pre-heat Ovens

Ceramicx design and build a wide range of industrial preheat ovens to suit applications across major industries including aerospace, defence, and FMCG. Using your bespoke specifications, each system is custom-built and configured to order using market leading infrared technology and tested by our experienced infrared heat engineers.

Product Overview

Every preheat conveyor oven or multi-zone heating system is designed and built in line with your individual process requirements and capabilities. These can include physical size and shape – in particular, pre-heat zoning if your space for a full pre-heat system is limited – temperature requirements, and power requirements and constraints. But specific process requirements, system integrations, and programmable control needs are also carefully considered.

Key Features

Every custom-built infrared preheat oven or system by Ceramicx is always designed and manufactured around the customers own processes. Material preparation can reduce further processing or waste down the line, and often the pre-heating systems are attached to, or are a part of the main heating system.

Beyond the stainless steel framework and polished aluminium reflectors, key oven and system features are all bespoke to match your requirements. And your chosen temperature and overall safety requirements are built right in.

Use of our CE approved, industry standard infrared heating elements, together with quality Siemens programmable controllers, ensures improved reliability and processing time, increased productivity, and low maintenance and running costs. Together, these enhanced capabilities give you precision control and total accuracy where you need it most, including:

Industrial Infrared Preheat Ovens

  • Annealing and Stress Relief Oven

The conveyor length was specified by the customer but Ceramicx chose the belt material and specification that was heat resistant. Perforated aluminium was used for the back cover to allow ventilation in the wiring area.

  • Ceramicx Modular Infrared Conveyor Oven

Each IR oven module is attached to the next module by means of securing fittings. Side conveyors run alongside the oven modules to feed product to the entry point of conveyor oven. Each oven module has an integrated control system to control heating, air flow, and conveying operations.

  • Enhanced Plastic Welding System Using Quartz Elements

Using infrared heat for the first time, the medium-wave elements provide the fast, consistent, and efficient results needed for welding high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pallets.

  • Long Wave Composite Curing Oven

Ceramicx developed a composite curing oven, which was embedded in a robotic press cell for a variety of composite systems.

  • MSE look to infrared to overcome system inefficiencies

A key part of our recommendation was that their state-of-the-art machinery should be fitted with arrays of industry standard ceramic, square hollow elements (SFEH). With a flat body, these particular elements have a much shorter heat up time, increased energy efficiency, and have the ability to produce a diffused, radiant output-to-target distance.

  • Pre-Heat and Main-Heat System

These were used to produce an artificial turf type material for sports grounds in the US. There were 2 heating systems: pre-heat and main heat system to be positioned over a conveyor system.

  • Shortwave Infrared For Pre-Heat & Curing

In the past year, QS Group has increasingly turned to Ceramicx to manufacture shortwave custom-built pre-heat and various curing heating systems.
